SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said investigators are looking for Christopher Forest Easton, 37, who is wanted on a charge of online solicitation of a minor.
The sheriff’s office Human Exploitation Unit, working with the Secret Service, conducted an operation targeting online sexual predators.
Salazar said Easton believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl and arranged to meet her and what he believed was another 14-year-old female friend “to engage in sexual activity.”
The sheriff said the “meeting never took place” because the person Easton was communicating with was an undercover agent or investigator, but authorities established probable cause for the charge and obtained an arrest warrant.
Salazar said investigators believe Easton has left town and was in another part of Texas during the weekend while deputies were looking for him, though authorities have information he may be returning or may already be back in the area.
Easton has been known to work as a security guard for churches and schools in the area, and he warned that the job could provide access to children. Salazar said authorities do not know whether Easton is armed, but he described the situation as serious and urged the public not to confront him.
Salazar said that while the “victims were undercover agents, undercover deputies,” it is possible there could be actual victims, and he asked anyone with information to come forward.
