San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo to Award Over $765,000 In Scholarships and Educational Grants

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is supporting higher education with $765,000 in scholarship and educational grants.

On Tuesday, the Rodeo presented $590,000 in scholarships to 50 students and $175,910 in grants to local educational organizations.

Scholarship recipients represent students pursuing higher education through institutions and programs including the Alamo Colleges District, Prairie View A&M University, Bexar County 4-H and FFA and more.

Students were selected through educational partners and programs on their demonstrated leadership, community involvement, service, and commitment to academic excellence.

Grant recipients include educational and community organizations such as Bexar County Youth Gardens, St. Philip’s College Culinary Arts Program, the Norman Borlaug Program through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Gardopia Gardens, and Palo Alto College.
