PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man who was shot in the chest in north Phoenix on Tuesday night is in the hospital, according to police.
Officers responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. from workers at AZ Liquor near 32nd Street and Bell Road that a man walked in and said he had been shot nearby, Phoenix Police said in a statement.
The man had gunshot injuries to his chest and was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
The victim, whose identity is unknown, told police that he didn’t know who shot him and was unable to provide any other details.
Police say they are still investigating the shooting.
