PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Devin Booker will wear a different number on his back next season.
ESPN reports Booker is switching from his signature No. 1 to No. 15 for the 2026-27 season.
Booker said the change is a tribute to his dad, Melvin Booker, who wore 15 at the University of Missouri.
Melvin helped guide Devin’s career from Michigan to Mississippi to Kentucky and eventually to Phoenix.
The number 15 is also the number Devin has worn with Team USA at the Olympics.
Booker has worn No. 1 since he was drafted by the Suns in 2015 and has been named an All-Star five times.
