Vodafone Australia’s mobile network has crashed, potentially affecting millions of Australians.
A statement from the company said it was aware some customers were experiencing “intermittent issues” with its service and it was urgently investigating.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will provide an update as soon as possible,” the statement said.
“We recommend customers to power cycle their device to restore services.”
The mobile provider’s Network Status Checker is currently displaying a “502 Bad Gateway” message.
Vodafone is Australia’s third-largest mobile network operator, behind Telstra and Optus.
In addition to direct subscribers, its network is used by customers of TPG, iiNet, Internode and Lebara.
As of February 2025, the network provided services to 5.4 million customers across Australia.
