Dutch chipmaking parts supplier BE Semiconductor Industries (Besi) BESI said on Thursday its second-quarter order bookings slipped due to weakness in mainstream computing and mobile applications.
Compared with the prior quarter, Besi’s order bookings were down 3%, totalling 128 million euros ($150.68 million).
However, the company’s revenue rose 2.8% last quarter to 148.1 million euros, driven by increased shipments.
The chipmaker supplier projected its orders to increase significantly in the third quarter, supported by increased demand for its advanced hybrid bonding systems for AI-related computing applications.
