A former Mesa bank manager will spend four years in prison after stealing $655,000 from the bank she managed. Brooke McDonough, formerly known as Brooke Taylor, was sentenced by a federal judge on June 10. Prosecutors say she stole cash from ATMs and the bank’s vault while working as an East Valley branch manager. Investigators say she changed monthly audit numbers to hide the growing shortage. After she resigned, the scheme was uncovered, and three other employees were placed on administrative leave. McDonough was convicted of embezzlement, structuring and transactional money laundering.
