A manhunt is underway in the Bronx for the suspects who shot two men dead in an ambush on Thursday night, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the shooting happened in front of 1643 Westchester Ave., steps away from the Morrison Avenue 6 train station, in Soundview at about 10:10 p.m. on June 18.
Officers from the 43rd Precinct rushed to the location after receiving a 911 call about the incident. When they arrived, they found both victims, a 53-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, shot multiple times about their bodies.
As of Friday morning, police did not provide information as to whether the two victims knew each other or were connected in any way. The motive for the double shooting remains under investigation.

EMS rushed both victims to Jacobi Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Police have not yet released their identities, pending family notification.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.

Through June 14, the 43rd Precinct reported three homicides and eight shootings year to date, down from four murders and 11 shootings at the same point last year.
