Trains operating on Metra’s Union Pacific – North line resumed with delays after a vehicle struck a bridge, the transit agency said.
In a service alert on its website at around 4:26 p.m., Metra said inbound and outbound trains near Clybourn were halted after a vehicle hit a bridge. Additional information, including the severity of the damage and a timeline for service restoration, wasn’t immediately available.
A message posted on its website, viewed at around 5:04 p.m., reported that inbound and outbound were back on the move and operating up to 45 minutes behind schedule due.
The transit agency said it would provide updates online as they become available.
