Magnolia at the Modern: Shall We Dance?
Shohei Sugiyama (Koji Yakusho) seems to have it all: a high-paying job as an accountant, a beautiful home, a caring wife, and a doting daughter he loves dearly. However, he feels something is missing in his life. One day while commuting on the train, he spots a beautiful woman (Tamiyo Kusakari) staring wistfully out a window and eventually decides to find her. His search leads him head-first into the world of competitive ballroom dancing. This 4K restoration of the classic 1996 film is available uncut for the first time in North America. There will be six screenings through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

National Day of the American Cowboy
The National Day of the American Cowboy celebrates the history and heritage of the American cowboy. Taking place in the Fort Worth Stockyards, visitors can also witness Riscky’s BBQ’s 19th Annual Rib-Eating Competition.
Hyena’s presents Tom Arnold
As a writer, producer, and actor, Tom Arnold has established himself to both television and film audiences worldwide. Never scripted, Arnold pokes fun at his Midwest past, marital follies, and absurd Hollywood stories. Just like his past film and television comedy work, he is a ball of chaos and charisma on stage. He’ll perform twice on Saturday at Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub.
Keyshia Cole in concert
R&B/hip hop singer Keyshia Cole comes to Fort Worth as part of The Way It Is 20th Anniversary Tour, celebrating the milestone anniversary of Cole’s 2005 debut album, which immediately put her at the top of the R&B genre. Deep Blue Something in concert
If you were close to college-aged in the mid-1990s in Dallas-Fort Worth, you definitely knew the Denton band Deep Blue Something. They became a one-hit wonder thanks to the song “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” off their 1994 album, Home. Two subsequent albums failed to recreate that magic, but after 24 years, they’re finally back with a fifth album, Lunar Phase. They’ll play at Billy Bob’s Texas.
Sunday, July 27
