Santa Cruz basketball star Haley Jones, 25, a former All-American at Stanford University, is back with the WNBA’s Dallas Wings.
The 6-foot-1 guard/forward signed a Player Development Contract (PDC) with the Wings on Sunday.
Each WNBA franchise is allowed two PDCs, designated for players with three or fewer years of league service. The players receive stipends, full team benefits, and can be activated to the main roster and subbed into a maximum of 12 regular-season games. (Guard Costanza Verona also has PDC with the Wings.)
Jones played for the Wings in 2025 before being selected by the Portland Fire in the Expansion Draft in April. She was waived by Portland on May 21.
Jones played in five games for the Fire and averaged 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assist.
She first joined Dallas after signing a hardship contract in June of 2025 and signed a rest-of-season contract a month later. She appeared in 24 games for Dallas and averaged career bests of 8.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 0.8 steals per contest.
