Dairy farmer Blake Gendebien won the Democratic nomination against Lake Placid restaurant owner Stuart Amoriell. Gendebien was endorsed by the Clinton County Democratic Committee, as well as several other commitees across the all or part of 15 counties the district represents.

Businessman Anthony Constantino won the Republican nomination against Assemblyman Robert Smullen. Constantino was publicly endorsed by President Donald Trump. Trump urged voters to chose Constantino on Truth Social Monday. Smullen was endorsed by the Clinton County Republican Committee. He said his congressional petitions received almost 10,000 signatures.

Gendebien and Constantino are now vying to fill Northern New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik’s seat. She announced she would not run for her 7th term in December when she ended her weeks-long gubernatorial campaign. Stefanik congratulated Constantino on his victory on X Tuesday night.

The general election will be held on Nov. 3.
