Life as a touring rock star isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, as Rush pointed out in 1981’s philosophic “Limelight.”
In a reminder of that song’s take on fame’s challenges, the Canadian rock trio postponed its Wednesday night concert at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth “due to unforeseen travel and border-related delays impacting our touring production.” On Saturday, the band played the second of two shows in Mexico City.
The postponed Fort Worth show has been rescheduled for July 2. All tickets will be honored for the new date. Fans unable to attend can request a refund at the original point of purchase.
Rush’s other three shows at Dickies Arena — Friday, June 26, Sunday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 30 — will stay on schedule.
Earlier this month, the prog-rock heroes launched “Fifty Something,” their first tour in a decade and the first with German drummer Anika Nilles taking the place of Neil Peart, who died in 2020. Singer-bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson round out the group.
