PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for June 24, 2026:
El Jefe Tacos – 4923 E Chandler Blvd, Phoenix
3 violations
- No certified food manager on duty
- Sliced cheese and eggs not kept cold enough
- Salsa and cheese sauce not date-marked
Saddle Bronc Grill – 11056 N Saguaro Blvd, Fountain Hills
3 violations
- Cook cutting ready-to-eat onions with bare hands
- Baked potatoes not kept hot enough
- Drink mix container stored in ice used for customers
Brunch Snob – 1920 W Germann Rd, Chandler
3 violations
- Employee cracking eggs then not washing hands
- Pesticide cartridges hanging above food prep sink
- Chemical spray bottles and medicine stored above food
Wild Berry Diner – 4805 E Main Street, Mesa
3 violations
- Raw eggs stored above open salsa jar
- Pans of cooked sausages not cooling properly
- Lettuce and sliced roast beef not held at proper temperature
Tofu King – 2855 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix
4 violations
- Employee wiping face with hands then working on customer food order
- Employee cutting ready-to-eat veggies with bare hands
- Bottle of Pepto Bismol stored with containers of food
- Live roaches along walls and floors
