SkyForce10 was over the scene to capture a major fire in Allentown on Wednesday night.
Police issued a traffic alert for the area of the 300 block of Front Street and said the fire is under investigation.
The fire appears to have engulfed a vacant old furniture factory on the block, but police also said on social media that the fire included multiple homes.
Flames were spotted on some of the surrounding homes, and firefighters were seen going around the area searching for people or flames.
People around the fire have been told to evacuate and people have been told to avoid non-essential travel to the area.
People in the surrounding area have also been told to shelter in place.
Just after 11 p.m., fire crews appeared to have the gotten the fire settled down, but there were still embers and lots of smoke spotted by SkyForce10.
NBC10’s Johnny Archer was at the scene of the massive Allentown fire on Wednesday night to find that crews had gotten the blaze under control.
According to NBC10 First Alert Meteorologist Robert Johnson, the air quality in the area is not compromised. But if people are close to the fire, their situation will be different.
Additionally, an outage map also showed that there were around 3,500 customers without power as of 10:15 p.m. in Allentown, but that number had reduced to around 2,100 at 11:05 p.m.
