PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A fugitive is in custody after a crash on Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway near 24th Street in Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.
It happened just after 3 p.m. on the westbound side near 24th Street.
The FBI’s Phoenix Safe Trails Task Force arrested a man in the area after trying to pull him over, officials said.
The man was wanted on warrants out of Maricopa County and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. His name has not been released.
Officials said he did not stop when agents tried to stop his car. Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers and Mesa police helped bring the situation to an end.
Aerial video showed skid marks from a red four-door car on the off-ramp. The car came to a stop facing the wrong way between the right westbound lane and the off-ramp.

The man was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a failure-to-yield charge. No injuries were reported.
The right lane and off-ramp were blocked but have since reopened.
