The pieces of a championship program are coming together nicely for new Morehead State Head Women’s Basketball Coach Ashton Feldhaus. The coaching staff is now even more complete as Madison Kellione and Kloe Bowin are on board as assistant coaches.

Kellione has experience in the Ohio Valley Conference, having played one season at Tennessee Tech (2023-24). She started her career at Transylvania, just down Interstate 64 west in Lexington. She finished with her final season on the court as a student-athlete just down the road the other direction at Marshall (2024-25).

Kellione had a decorated playing career, helping Transylvania win the 2022-23 NCAA Division III national championship, where she was named Most Valuable Player as well. She was a WBCA First-Team All-American and a D3Hoops Second-Team All-American in 2022-23.

Kellione was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference co-Player of the Year that season and earned the conference Female Athlete of the Year. Perhaps her most prestigious honor came at the NCAA Championship where she was crowned the Elite 90 winner, the highest honor for any student-athlete competing at the NCAA’s 90 championship events.

She guided Transylvania to four straight HCAC titles while scoring 1,500+ points and dishing out 400+ assists.

She had an award-winning high school career as well, at Harrison County in Kentucky. Kellione was named the 2019 KABC 10th Region Player of the Year and was a KABC Miss Kentucky Basketball candidate. Also in 2019, she was named First-Team All-Region and District All-Tournament. Kellione was a Lexington Herald-Leader All-State Honorable Mention and Louisville Courier-Journal All-State Honorable Mention selection in 2019 too.

Kellione earned her bachelor’s degree from Transylvania in 2023 and received her Master’s Degree at Marshall in 2025.

Bowin embarks on her collegiate coaching career following a successful stint as a student-athlete at Tabor (Kan.) and Rogers State (Okla.).

She capped her career by being named WBCA Honorable Mention All-American for the Tabor Bluejays in 2024-25. Bowin helped Tabor to a 27-5 record as a senior in 2023-24 and 19 wins as a graduate student in 2024-25. Tabor claimed the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference title in 2023-24 and advanced to the NAIA national tournament.

Bowin was named Tabor’s Famale Athlete of the Year and the Breakthrough Athlete of the Year for the school in 2024-25.

She also was selected for the 2025 WBCA So You Want To Be a Coach program.

Bowin is a native of Tahlequah, Okla. She earned her bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at Tabor.
