RED HOOK – A 22-year-old New York City man has been arrested by Red Hook Police on several charges related to a stolen vehicle.
On Wednesday, police interviewed the driver of a car on Mill Road in the Town of Red Hook, Declan Kealy, and found the vehicle had been stolen in New York city the previous day.
Further investigation found that Kealy had an active bench warrant from a previous stolen car incident.
He was also found in possession of a stolen wallet and credit cards belonging to a separate victim.
As a result, Kealy was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property and one misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail.
