Syracuse, N.Y. — The city of Syracuse’s municipal operations reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 67% in 14 years, a new study found.

The city on Thursday released a report, the 2024 Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory, an assessment of municipal and community progress in mitigating climate change. The state-funded study, prepared by C&S Cos., will inform a Climate Action Plan the city is developing for achieving net-zero emissions.
