SAN ANTONIO – A student accused of plotting a violent attack against Rhodes Middle School will remain in custody following a ruling from the Fourth Court of Appeals.

The ruling rejected the juvenile’s request for release. The court also lifted a previously ordered stay on all proceedings in the case, clearing the way for the trial to move forward.

The ruling comes amid an increasingly high-profile investigation into the youth, who is facing charges of weapons possession and possession of an explosive device, with a terrorism charge still under review.
