Gloria the BEN FM DJ (Dog Jockey)
The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society gave us Gloria, BEN FM’s longtime DJ (dog jockey). She was our family member for 13 years, and we will forever be in debt to PAWS for the love Gloria gave us each and every day of her life. The Mutt Strut is their annual event and biggest fundraiser. Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. The event happens at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, and it’s so much more than a dog walk.

PAWS Mutt Strut 2026
This year is a big one. The 20th Annual Mutt Strut! Join PAWS and their legions of dedicated volunteers and friends for a unique fall festival packed with fun things to do. There are activities and games for people and pets alike. Check out dozens of vendors, enjoy live music, and be sure to enter your pet in the doggie costume contest. There are lots of food and beverage options, and Dock Street Brewery is returning with the Mutt Strut beer garden! Plus, so many raffles and prizes. It is THE event for any animal lover and not to be missed.

The Mutt Strut helps to raise lifesaving funds for Philadelphia’s homeless pets and the people who love them. This is year 20, so it’s bound to be extra special! Dozens of adorable dogs dressed in costume (or not), strutting their stuff for the BEST cause. There are also plenty of adoptable pets to meet and hopefully add to your family.

The PAWS Mutt Strut 2026 is October 3rd. It’s only July. Pretty early, so plenty of time to register and maybe even build a fundraising team at pawsmuttstrut.org. You can also create a personalized fundraising page to share with friends and family, set a goal, and earn great prizes as you raise funds. All proceeds from the Mutt Strut enable PAWS to save and serve Philadelphia’s most vulnerable pets all year long.
Rain Date
Go ahead and mark your calendar for Sunday, October 4th too. That’s the rain date. The weather gods don’t always smile on the Mutt Strut (IYKYK.) Just reserve the whole weekend. PAWS is worth it, I promise.
