Yungblud Invites ‘80s Rock Legend, 69, on Stage for Surprise Duet and Fans Were Slack-Jawed originally appeared on Parade.

After a successful 2024 run, artist Yungblud, 27,returned for his second annual BLUDFEST, a music-focused summer fest that promises to leave behind corporate greed and focuses on artists, creativity and community.

The show featured a star-studded lineup as well as communal initiatives such as the “Make a Friend” tent that encouraged attendees to connect over mutual interests. What fans weren’t expecting was when Yungblud brought out the G.O.A.T. himself, Bill Idol, 69.

Fans said positive pandemonium broke out the second they realized who was on stage.

“My jaw was dropped for the whole song and announcement,” commented one fan.

“I’ve never seen my dad genuinely in shock,” another fan added. “He sprung up from the hill and ran to the pit. Thank you for making a 46-yr-old happy.”

People were also blown away by how great the two sounded together. The pair performed Idol’s hit “White Wedding,” and people thought that the collaboration was extremely well suited.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Dom is this generation’s Billy,” proclaimed a fan.

Idol’s “comeback” has been years in the making, but the artist is currently on an epic world tour with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. While right now they are abroad, the tour kicks back up in America in Chicago on August 14th. As for Yungblud, his tour is currently sweeping across the UK, stops in Japan, and then finally makes its way to the U.S. in late August.

Here’s to hoping these two collab more, and that more modern day rockers honor their “forefathers” with special appearances like this.
