While PAWmicon and Comic-Con International both have similar sounding names and a shared love of superheroes, they aren’t in the same family.

And yet?

The dog-tastic fundraiser, which raises money for the Helen Woodward Animal Center each year, is tied in spirit to the massive pop culture spectacular, which is happening through July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center.

That heartwarming spirit was on sassy and sweet view July 22 as costumed canines, and their humans, strutted near the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park.

Here are some of the hounds that went the dressy distance at the 2025 event, with “all proceeds” being donated directly to the Rancho Santa Fe animal center.
