Northwest ISD has promoted Raigan Perez to principal of Adams Middle School, elevating an assistant principal at the school who has received accolades for her leadership and commitment to student needs.
Mrs. Perez has served as an assistant principal at Adams Middle School for the past three years, and she previously served as an assistant principal intern and English teacher at Northwest High School. She succeeds Jeremy Harris, who recently accepted the opportunity to serve as the inaugural associate principal of Davis High School, where his career and technical education background will assist in the opening of the Transportation, Automation & Logistics Academy as well as the potential Air Force JROTC.
Since serving as an assistant principal at the school, Mrs. Perez has played key roles in supporting instructional improvement, coordinating campus events, overseeing discipline management and more.
“Leo Adams Middle School is much more than a workplace – it’s a second home, and I greatly value the collaborative nature of my coworkers and the relationships we build with students and their families,” Mrs. Perez said. “I look forward to working alongside our community to continue building upon the strong foundation that already exists for our Adams Lions.”
Notably, Mrs. Perez is a Northwest ISD alumna, having graduated as valedictorian from Steele Accelerated High School, now known as Steele Early College High School.
During her time in campus administration, Mrs. Perez has partnered with campus and district leaders to implement new initiatives that analyze student data to ensure students meet grade-level expectations. She has also worked with campus administrators at feeder elementary schools to improve transition into the middle school environment.
Mrs. Perez earned her master’s degree in educational leadership with a principal certification from the University of North Texas, where she also received her bachelor’s degree in English with her teacher certification.
