Shortly after Norway’s 2-1 win over the Ivory Coast at Dallas Stadium, the striker took to social media to showcase his new cowboy persona. Haaland posted two photos to his X profile, where he donned a pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat inside a western wear store. He also donned a t-shirt that read “Y’all can kiss my Dallas.”
The post was accompanied by a simple caption, reading “Howdy!” with a cowboy emoji.
Fox Soccer also shared a Snapchat post from Haaland, where he gave followers another look at his stop in the western wear store. Haaland asked a Norwegian teammate how he felt about the shopping experience, to which he replied with “howdy, y’all.”
Norway is moving on to the World Cup’s Round of 16, where it’ll Brazil at 3 p.m. Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium. Maybe Haaland will wear a new cowboy-themed outfit before the match kicks off.
