Celebrate Fourth of July with Latin music, cultura
The Historic Northside District brings back its block party to feature live music from Latin Express, local vendors and community activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Listen to classical music that commemorates America’s 250th birthday
The festival celebrates its 29th season with a series of concerts by its professional musicians and emerging artists. The world premiere of composer Kian Ravaei’s “A Free People” will be at 7 p.m. July 3.
What: Mimir Chamber Music Festival
When: 7 p.m. July 2 and 3; 2 p.m. July 5; 7 p.m. July 8; 10 a.m., 7 p.m. July 9; 7 p.m. July 10
Where: Kimbell Art Museum, 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth
Admission: $10-$40; $160 package for five concerts
Reflect on America’s founding at Southlake art exhibition
The Southlake Historical Society displays photographs, art, maps and stories that spotlight what was happening in Spanish Tejas at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. On view through Aug. 29.
What: “July 4, 1776: Here and There” exhibit
When: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. July 3-4
Where: Southlake Town Hall, 1400 Main St., Southlake
Admission: Free
Learn about veteran stories at two-day Independence Day festival
The festival features the museum’s existing exhibitions and multiple events: The 1st Cavalry Division Band, Fireworks Viewing Party, Foundations of Freedom and a screening of an excerpt from Ken Burns’ documentary “The American Revolution.” Find showtimes here.

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 4; 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. July 5
Where: National Medal of Honor Museum, 1861 AT&T Way, Arlington
Admission: $15-$30
Watch fireworks light up Fort Worth’s night sky
Enjoy Panther City’s largest fireworks show, which also features festival food, kids activities and live music. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Parking is limited, so attendees are encouraged to take the Trinity Trails.
What: Fort Worth’s Fourth
When: 5-10 p.m. July 4
Where: Panther Island Pavilion, 395 W. Purcey St., Fort Worth
Admission: Free
