President Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai — aka Gen Z’s “White House vlogger,” in the words of the Washington Post — documented a recent trip to Dallas in a YouTube video.
In the 21-minute video, titled “48 Hours in TEXAS with my BEST FRIEND,” Kai Trump described the vlog as a look at Texas’ “boujee” and “country” sides (the distinction was marked on-screen with a side-by-side clip of jewelry and a cowboy boot).
Along with her friend Emma, Kai tried on Western wear such as an American-flag designed cowboy hat at Wild Bill’s Western Store in downtown.

In mukbang style, they rated dishes including ribs and turkey at Deep Ellum’s Terry Black’s Barbecue.
They stopped by jewelry stores in Dallas Market Center and Highland Park Village — RW Fine Jewelry and Richard Mille, respectively.
The pair also caught a sold-out WNBA game between the Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever. The June 27 matchup was the first WNBA game at American Airlines Center.
“The greatest 45 minutes of my entire life,” Kai said, as she watched the pregame warmup.
Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump. The 18-year-old’s public profile soared after she spoke about her grandfather at the Republican National Convention last summer.
In her speech, she offered familial insight on the former reality TV star businessman-turned-politician, referring to him as a “normal grandpa” who sneaked sweets to her and her siblings away from their parents’ gaze.
Kai has amassed a large number of followers across various social platforms, with over 3.2 million on TikTok, roughly 1.2 million on YouTube and 1.8 million on Instagram.
She has ambitions to be a professional golfer and verbally committed to play on the University of Miami’s 2026 team. Kai is a rising senior at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach County, Fla.
A love for golf runs in the high schooler’s DNA.
The president has golfed for decades. In an interview with Golfweek earlier this month, Kai said her grandfather taught her “to keep on fighting and keep on practicing.”
“I’ve loved playing golf with him my whole life. It’s the reason that we share a special bond together.”
