Fireworks sales across the nation are skyrocketting ahead of the country-wide 250th birthday smash — potentially setting an all-time record for sales, according to a report.
Phantom Fireworks — which operates over 100 brick-and-mortar stores and over 2,500 tents and stands across the country — told News Nation that the fuse has been lit on sales.

“Yesterday was a record-breaking day for our company,” Jessi Dragoiu, Phantom Fireworks vice president, told the outlet.
“A lot of new customers are excited to try fireworks for the first time,” the executive of the Pennsylvania-based company said.
“We’re definitely seeing an increase in the average spend and what the consumers are purchasing.”
“But a lot of it could just be for the excitement for the 250th. And the shows are going to be bigger this year, and I think there’s going to be more of them,” she added.

Millions of fireworks are expected to be set off on Saturday with some industry experts predicting the totality of the explosives to exceed 2022’s record of 461 million pounds, the report stated.
Firework show organizers in Washington, DC, are attempting to set a Guinness World Record by launching 850,000 fireworks shells from 10 locations over the course of a 40 minute show.
