For America 250th birthday, these Dallas County parks and attractions are throwing family-friendly Independence Day festival, most with fireworks and another intentionally without them.

Where: The Sound at Cypress Waters, Dallas
When: Friday, July 3, 2026; 5–10pm
Why go? Fireworks are not for everyone. So for several years now this venue has hosted this event with zero explosions but all the same patriotic fervor—especially for those on the autism spectrum, veterans with PTSD, and others with animal companions who’d like to bring them along to a July 4th event. Instead of fireworks, the fest star a lights show called the Artsillery Star Spangled Glow Show.

Where: Addison Circle Park
When: Friday, July 3, 2026; 5–11pm
Why go? Unique among all the Independence Day festivals, this party’s happening super close to Addison Airport, which means that in addition to a spectacular fireworks show, you can expect even more high-flying entertainment from some of the country’s leading stunt pilots, plus a skydiving team.
Plus, you can join the kids activities from 5–9pm (balloon animals, face painting, games in the “Patriotic Playground”) and grab a set of headphones for the Uncle Sam Silent Disco (and keep them as late as 11pm).
And to honor this 250th birthday, check out the Patriotic Pergola. by the Association of the United States Army, this is a display of flags from all 50 states in order that each state was admitted to the Union (so, Texas was the 28th) and flags for the U.S.’s five territories as well.
Cost: Note that you’ll need tickets to get inside: $11.50 for ages 10 and up; $6.60 for kids ages 2–9, free for under 2.

Why go? This year, Fair Park is taken over by soccer fans there for the FIFA World Cup games inside the Cotton Bowl, so you won’t be expecting the usual July 4th party here, but you can still catch the big fireworks show. It’ll be on July 3 after the final match ends. But even if you don’t have tickets to the game, you can still get in on the fun via the FIFA Fan Festival. It’s free admission, and includes access to a mini-pitch where your kids can play too.
Plus, while you’re there at Fair Park, you’ll also have the unique opportunity to view a special exhibition: Declarations: America & Texas Independence. Stop into Hall of State building between 10am and 5pm to see historically significant documents including an original printing of the Declaration of Independence (on loan from the Dallas Public Library) and 1829 reproduction of Thomas Jefferson’s draft of the Declaration of Independence.

Alice in Wonderland & Fireworks

Why go? How does a theater lover celebrate Independence Day? With a live show plus a live fireworks show, of course. On this night you can catch Shakespeare Dallas’ production of Alice in Wonderland (yep, sometimes they do other productions besides the Bard) and during intermission, you can see the fireworks pop off from Fair Park in the distance. Come as early at 7pm to find your perfect viewing spot on the grassy hill. They allow you to bring your own food too, so pack whatever you like—the more the better so you can compete in their Picnic Spread Challenge too.

Klyde Warren Park’s Independence Day Celebration

When: Saturday, July 4, 2026; 7–9:30pm
Why go? Why do fireworks feel even more dramatic when they’re in the sky around skyscrapers? Watch this fireworks show at this centrally located park overlooking Downtown Dallas. They’ll be launching from the roof of its Muse Family Performance Pavilion, so there won’t be a bad seat in the house. The fireworks show begins promptly at 9:20pm, so be sure to be settled into your spot on the lawn by then.
Food trucks will be open starting earlier in the day at 11am, with the evening festivities kicking off around 7pm: the presentation of the colors and kids activities (balloon and tattoo artists). Plus, remember that the Nancy Best Fountain will be running, with a patriotic lights show and playlist ready for the 7pm and 8pm lights shows.

Fourth of July Celebration at Halperin Park
Where: Halperin Park, bridge deck park over 626 S R.L. Thornton Fwy, I-35E, Dallas

Why go? And speaking of deck parks, this is a great excuse to visit this brand new one (Dallas’ second ever). They’ll be hosting live music under the bandshell, a patriotic fashion contest, free popsicles and many more lawn games. When it’s after dark, head up to the Cityview Terrance for views of the fireworks shows from Klyde Warren Park and all around town.
