PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A serious three-car crash shut down part of Interstate 10 in west Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.
The crash was first reported around noon on the eastbound I-10 near 35th Avenue. The eastbound lanes of I-10 near Loop 202 are closed due to the crash.
Traffic cameras in the area showed a black SUV that had crashed into a large pole on the side of the road.

Firefighters were seen using the Jaws of Life to open the vehicle and pull out the driver, who was then loaded into an ambulance.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say state troopers are investigating what led up to the crash.
It is unclear how many people were involved or the extent of any injuries.
Drivers should avoid the area as authorities investigate what led up to the crash. There is no timeframe for when the lanes may reopen.
