OXNARD, Calif. — Cowboys starting right tackle Terence Steele has a mild right ankle sprain and is being listed as day-to-day, a person with knowledge of the injury told The Dallas Morning News.
When Steele suffered the injury isn’t known, but he missed Thursday’s practice.
Steele underwent examinations that revealed the sprain.
The Cowboys’ next practice is Saturday.

Garland native Hakeem Adeniji replaced Steele on the first team at right tackle during Thursday’s practice. Adeniji missed the 2024 season recovering from knee injuries after being placed on injured reserve by the Cleveland Browns.
Adeniji signed with the Cowboys in April as a free agent. He was a 2020 sixth-round pick by Cincinnati.
Asim Richards, a Cowboys 2023 fifth-round pick, also saw time with the first-team offense at right tackle.
Cornerback DaRon Bland and linebacker Kenneth Murray missed Thursday’s practice as their significant others had babies.
