Driver faces felony charges after crashing with .441 BAC in Glendale

  • July 8, 2026

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A driver is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly driving impaired on the Loop 101 in the West Valley in late June.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) has not identified the driver. Troopers said the driver’s blood alcohol content measured .441. That’s five-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Several people called 911 to report the impaired driver on Loop 101 in the Arrowhead area. Troopers located the vehicle several miles south near Camelback Road.

The driver failed to stop before crashing into a wall and a sign while merging eastbound onto I-10 from the Loop 101. No injuries were reported.

Troopers found open containers in the vehicle’s cup holder and glove compartment.
