L.A. is the only Unites States stop during the 2027 world tour.
Spirited Away is an Academy Award-winning animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film draws on Japanese folklore, mythologya and environmental themes into an imaginary fantasy world, following a young girl’s journey. The film becomes a coming-of-age tale about courage and self-discovery.
Known as one of the greatest animated films ever made, Spirited Away became the highest-grossing film in Japanese history at the time of its release and introduced audiences around the world to Studio Ghibli’s distinctive storytelling and hand-drawn animation. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2003, becoming the first and still the only, hand-drawn, non-English-language film to receive the honor.
This film is coming to Los Angeles as a live-action adaptation of the original film, with the only U.S. stop being right here in L.A. The production combines live actors, elaborate puppetry, choreography and theatrical effects to recreate the world of the film.
