Saniyah Hall announced her commitment to USC women’s basketball Friday afternoon on NBA Today, marking the third No. 1 recruit in four years that Trojans head coach Lindsay Gottlieb has landed.

“I think I truly found my home, and I’m ready to tell the world where I’m going to go,” Hall said on the live broadcast. “I am headed to the University of Southern California.”

Junior JuJu Watkins was the No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class and freshman Jazzy Davidson was the top recruit in 2025. USC has also offered Kaleena Smith, an Ontario Christian point guard who is considered the top recruit in the 2027 class.

Hall averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game as a junior before scoring a game-high 25 points as part of Team USA in the U19 FIBA championship game this summer.

The 6-foot guard will play her senior year at SPIRE Institute in Ohio. She posted on Instagram that she took her official visit to USC on Thursday.

“It felt like home,” Hall said of USC. “I loved all of my teammates. The girls there are so fun to be around. I feel like the coaches, they have high support, but (Gottlieb) is definitely there to support me and I’ve built a relationship with her and she’s a great coach.”
