H-E-B’s Fort Worth Alliance store could be ready to open again soon after a fire on Thursday.
“Pending an early morning city inspection, we are optimistic that we will be able to open” Saturday morning, Mabrie Jackson, managing director public affairs, H-E-B, said in an emailed statement.
H-E-B continues to restock the store and complete cleaning efforts as safely and efficiently as possible, Jackson said in the statement on Friday.
The store was closed after a blaze drew firefighters on Thursday evening. The retail spot remained closed, except for a pharmacy drive-through, on Friday.
The H-E-B experienced an isolated electrical fire in a meat case, Jackson said earlier. It was contained, and there were no injuries.
More than 100 firefighters responded to a fire Thursday night at the Fort Worth Alliance H-E-B, where contractors reported hearing a loud bang while working on refrigerant lines inside the supermarket.
The Fort Worth Fire Department received calls shortly after 8 p.m. about a fire investigation at the store, located at 3451 Heritage Trace Parkway in far north Fort Worth. Workers tried to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived, according to the department.
The Fort Worth Alliance store opened in April 2024 as H-E-B’s first supermarket in Fort Worth.
