One of the trendiest names in activewear is plotting a new standalone store in a massive high-end Dallas development.
Alo, a Beverly Hills-based yoga wear and accessories company, is eyeing a 6,777-square-foot space at 3333 Knox St. in suites F1 and F21, as first reported by the Dallas Business Journal. The storefront would join Dallas’ Knox Street development-a sprawling luxury mixed-use hub with residential, retail and office space.
While details submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) are subject to change, the $1.2 million project could kick off construction this July and wrap up in November. Alo did not immediately respond to Chron’s request for comment by the time of publication.
Alo currently operates from two other locations in Dallas, with storefronts at North Park Centre and the Dallas Galleria. The activewear brand serves Texans in several other cities, including Austin, Fort Worth, Frisco, Houston, San Antonio, Southlake and The Woodlands. In Houston, there’s an Alo inside the Galleria and another standalone location in Rice Village.
Several other big-name brands could join Alo as part of the one-million-square-foot Knox Street development. South Carolina-based personalized jewelry brand Hart will open its first Texas location on Knox Street, and Tesla is reportedly eyeing an auto showroom in the area, according to The Dallas Morning News.
Knox Street-a project done in partnership between Trammell Crow Company, BDT & MSD, Highland Park Village Associates and The Retail Connection-broke ground in 2023, according to the Trammell Crow website. The development is already home to dozens of major retailers, including Alo sportswear competitors like Lululemon and Addison Bay, which is scheduled to open this fall.
