Observations from the Giants’ training camp practice on Friday.

Strong Finish

The rookie duo of Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo connected for a red-zone touchdown on the final play of practice. Dart went through his progressions before spotting the soft-handed Skattebo racing to the sideline with Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles trailing the play.

Oh, Snap

John Michael Schmitz had three errant snaps, including one that arrived before Russell Wilson was ready and another that was over Wilson’s head. Wilson recovered to catch the ball off the deflection but made an ill-advised throw that should’ve been a pick-six, but Tyler Nubin dropped the ball.

Caught My Eye

We have a “Moon Ball” sighting. Wilson’s deep throws are famous for their height, and that was on display when he connected with Malik Nabers for a 55-yard touchdown strike that dropped in the bucket. Paulson Adebo fell down in coverage on the go-route.

Injury Report

OLB Brian Burns and WR Wan’Dale Robinson crashed into each other at full speed. Both spent a few minutes on the ground being attended to by trainers before walking back to the locker room without assistance. LT Andrew Thomas, who is on the PUP list recovering from foot surgery last October, was on the field before stretching. WR Jalin Hyatt (cramping) was held out of team drills but was catching passes in warm-ups.
