Iconic Bronze Fonz statue vanishes from Milwaukee’s riverfront: Here’s why

Visit Milwaukee says the “Happy Days” character tribute is undergoing some TLC.

Milwaukee’s iconic Bronze Fonz statue has disappeared, but only temporarily.

Visit Milwaukee shared an update on the well-known Riverwalk staple Monday, July 13.

“The Bronze Fonz is temporarily away for repairs and will return later this summer, ready to welcome visitors once again,” Visit Milwaukee shared online.

The iconic Milwaukee landmark pays homage to Arthur Fonzarelli, also known as “Fonzie,” from the popular 1950’s sitcom “Happy Days.”

The 5′ 6″ bronze statue has had a home on Milwaukee’s RiverWalk just south of Wells Street since 2008.
