A ground stop was issued Monday evening for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The ground stop was due to thunderstorms over the airport, the airport says.  Departures are delayed by 30 minutes.

According to Sky Harbor, the ground stop is until 9 p.m. on July 13.

The Federal Aviation Administration’s website says the ground stop is impacting flights arriving at Phoenix. However, because flights arriving at Phoenix are experiencing delays, there could be an impact on flights taking off from Phoenix, as well.

To find out if the ground stop is impacting your flight, head to Phoenix Sky Harbor’s website.
