SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 11-year-old Broderick Hastings, who was reported missing early Friday morning after he disappeared from his home in East Bexar County.
An AMBER Alert was issued statewide around 11:30 a.m. Friday to help find Broderick.
According to officials, Broderick was last seen by his parents around 9 p.m. Thursday night at their residence off Farm-to-Market 78 near Loop 1604.
Just before 4 a.m. on Friday, his father discovered that the boy was not in his bedroom and immediately contacted law enforcement.
Authorities say a witness spotted Broderick walking eastbound on FM 78 late Thursday evening. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie, khaki pants, and carrying a blue backpack.
Broderick is 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 88 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
