Much drier air settles over Florida Saturday, giving most of the state a dry day. Atmospheric moisture and our rain chances gradually increase Sunday and into next week. Thunderstorm chances are very low for the weekend, although a brief, isolated shower could pop up on the Suncoast Sunday.

Beaches are quiet Saturday, but Sunday has a chance of an afternoon storm. Saturday winds are light out of the East-Southeast in the morning, shifting to our Westerly sea breeze in the afternoon. Rip current risk is low, but watch the flags at lifeguard stations. Boating conditions feature winds from the East to South Saturday at 5 to 10 knots. Sunday winds will shift to the North at 5 to 10 knots. Expect a Light Chop with 1-2 foot seas.
