Three months ago, Lucas Jumalon was among Grand Canyon University’s record-breaking graduating class of 33,251 students. Today he’s part of a much smaller group — nine to be exact — vying for $10 million.
The 22-year-old native of Spokane, Washington, who graduated this spring from the Phoenix campus with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in business analytics, has not only qualified his way into the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, he holds a commanding chip lead.
At 10:46 p.m. Monday, Jumalon and eight others booked their seats for the 2026 WSOP Main Event’s final table. And he brings a whopping 194 million chip count ahead the next closest player, Rami Hammoud, who holds 79 million chips, when play resumes Monday, Aug. 3.
