BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – It did not take Tommy White, known locally as Tommy Tanks, long to make his way to the show. Several outlets, including Jeff Passan and MLB.com, report that White is set to be called up. The former LSU Tiger ripped it up in minor league ball, hitting .303 this season between AA and AAA.

The steady production has led to the Athletics deciding it’s time to call up their number seven prospect to the bigs. White joins former Tiger teammate Gage Jump with the A’s. White was a member of the 2023 National Title team. The NC State transfer and Jump, formerly of UCLA, were key contributors to the 2024 LSU squad.
There’s a possibility that White could share the diamond with yet another Purple & Gold friend. The A’s play the Nationals on Friday, which could mean that White faces off with Dylan Crews.
