PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A shocking discovery was made inside a north Phoenix apartment when officers said Thursday afternoon they found a dead newborn.
It happened at the Mission Place Apartments, near 7th Street on Mission Lane, north of Dunlap Avenue.
Police have not said where in the apartment the newborn was found.
No one else was inside the apartment, investigators said.
Police did not say what caused the baby’s death, but there was no sign of foul play. Officers said they are not looking for any suspects.

Arizona’s Family crews witnessed a heavy police presence at the complex, with numerous Phoenix police patrol vehicles parked outside. One police officer later taped off a portion of the street leading to the complex.
