ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Delta Air Lines flight operated by SkyWest was diverted to Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday after hitting turbulence on the way to Atlanta from the Bahamas, according to Delta and SkyWest.
Flight 3723 landed safely at Jacksonville International Airport, where one crew member was taken to the hospital for evaluation, said a spokesperson for SkyWest.
Atlanta-based Delta is working with SkyWest to put the 67 passengers on other flights bound for Atlanta.
Flight 3723 had taken off from Eleuthera in the Bahamas and was operated under Delta Connection, the brand name for Delta’s partnership with regional airlines.

“The safety and wellbeing of everyone onboard is our highest priority, and we are working closely with our partner Delta to support all customers and resume their travels safely to Atlanta,” a SkyWest spokesperson said in a statement. “We thank our crewmembers for their professionalism and care.”
