Dallas-Fort Worth narrowly avoided its first 100-degree day of the year on Friday, and temperatures are expected to drop slightly this weekend.

While the actual temperature will go down, it likely won’t feel like that due to a soaring heat index. A heat advisory has been issued for Dallas and Tarrant County, as well as for much of North Texas, that lasts until 9 p.m. Saturday.

Heat index values are expected to be as high as 102 in Dallas, while the actual high temperature is only around 96, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

Some areas of North Texas could see feels-like temps of around 108, according to the weather service.
