PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead and another man has been detained after an argument led to a shooting at a gas station in Phoenix early Saturday morning.
Just before 2:30 a.m., first responders were called to reports of shots fired at an ARCO in the area of 16th Street and Thomas Road.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police said the man accused of shooting him was detained at the scene. Callers told emergency dispatchers that the shooting followed an argument.
Neither man has been publicly identified, and police have not said whether the suspected shooter will face charges.
Detectives taped off the gas station as they worked to determine what led up to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
