Laredo Kid vs. Trick Williams
Kid gets an advantage early on with speed and lucha libre, but Trick’s size and power advantage overwhelm him. Mounted punches in the corner, Laredo slips out, laying strikes in, springboard corkscrew leg drop and he’s fired up! Another one gets a nearfall, working a half-crab, Williams kicks him away but Kid gets right back in there!
Trick with a pop-up neckbreaker, Trick Slap, putting boots to Laredo in the corner, scoop and a slam, Book End countered into a victory roll pin for two! Low bridge sends Williams to the floor, Kid perches, senton atomico to the floor! Back inside, Trick gets him…
Trick Williams wins by pinfall with Trick Shot.
The main show kicks off with a video package about how great Madison Square Garden is and all the history that’s happened there.
Jalen Brunson is shown walking backstage to kick off our usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.
Joe Tessitore and Stephanie McMahon welcome us to the show from the pre-show podium and toss to commentary to get us going in our opening match.
Fatal Influence make their entrance ahead of our first match.
And then of course our tag team champs make their entrance to get us going.
Brie Bella & Paige (c) vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)
Paige knocks Henley to the floor, Reid cuts her off and beats her down, gets distracted jawing at Bella and Paige takes her down with a Lou Thesz Press into grounded punches! Tag to Brie, stereo Codebreakers, tag to Fallon, Bella lights her up with a dropkick, slips out of a German suplex, Henley drops her with an elbow!
Rising knee from Brie, tag to Paige, ducking and dodging with Henley, Reid gets the blind tag and helps Fallon land a German suplex! Grounded punches from Lainey, quick tags, working Paige over in the corner! Reid with a reverse chinlock, grinding Paige down, jawbreaker for the escape, smashing Paige into the corner, tag to Henley!
Paige fends them off, ducks under, tag to Bella! Double lariat, up and over, side Russian legsweep takes Fallon down! Chest kicks, duck under, clobber Lainey with a kick, Brie Mode, running knees on both challengers! Missile dropkick on Henley, cover for two, LeBell Lock applied but Fallon gets a foot on the bottom rope! Spin-out X-Factor connects and both women are down!
Tag made, Paige lands an elbow, Jacy Jayne runs in and eats a knee, tag to Reid, sliding German suplex as Fallon leaves the ring, Brie pulls Paige out of the way of a dive, back at it with Lainey, Jacy runs interference so Henley can run in and drop Paige with a lariat!
No Brie on the apron, Paige sidesteps Reid into the post and Bella takes Fallon out! Victory roll, Jayne rolls Lainey over…
Fatal Influence win by pinfall with a victory roll pin from Lainey Reid on Paige, becoming your new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Post-match, the Fatals celebrate on the ramp, Fallon Henley’s lip pouring blood probably from Brie taking her out right at the end there.
Backstage, Sami Zayn is interviewed.
He says he’s got nothing but thoughts and he didn’t want to talk because he’s trying to choose his words carefully. He’s not saying he’s a victim, but everything that’s happened to him since he lost the title has been egregious. He complains about Cody getting a match just by saying “when” when he had to beat his head against a glass ceiling for ten years.
And when he asked the general manager if this is wrong, he’s stuck in a tag team match with a man who has belitted–
GUNTHER rolls up and orders Sami to stay out of his way and no matter what, do not ruin SummerSlam for him, and he leaves Zayn with a foul look on his face.
We see various celebrities in the front row, as well as WWE Men’s United States Champion Trick Williams.
A documentary of sorts casting Danhausen as “the Cursefather” and recapping his roll in determining the 2026 NBA finals.
JD McDonagh, accompanied by Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan, is interviewed in Gorilla.
McDonagh says Danhausen is the curse and he’s gonna rid WWE of him tonight.
They make their entrance and then so does Danhausen to get us going.
