There’s a new interactive venue now open in Fort Worth that’s tailor-made for game show fans.Dalled The Game Show Studio, it’s a new attraction that just opened inside Red Door Escape Room, an escape room at 2600 W. 7th St. #114, in Montgomery Plaza.

The Game Show Studio invites guests to become the star of their own game show, with lights and studio effects as well as rapid-fire trivia and physical challenges — blending the energy of classic television game shows with modern group play.

Visitors can be contestants in their own 60-minute game show, from a choice of four games:

  • Name That Price – scale a nine-foot Plinko Board and compete in a battle to see who can name the price
  • Survey Showdown – a host guides each team to guess top answers
  • Wheel of Wonder – spin, solve puzzles, and win prizes competing against friends and family
  • Matchup Madness – two teams compete to write answers on a white board

The Game Show Studio is part of a wave of similar concepts pulling from television culture such as Great Big Game Room which opened at Grandscape in The Colongy in 2023, and Only Murders in the Building, a Hulu-themed escape room that opened briefly in Grapevine in February.

The Game Show Studio was co-founded by Fort Worth native Julian Wagner and Jack Slayton in Rosedale, Minnesota in 2023. This is the first location in Dallas-Fort Worth and second location in Texas, joining Houston.

“As a Fort Worth native, opening The Game Show Studio here is a full-circle moment,” Wagner says in a statement. “We’re excited to bring something entirely new to the DFW entertainment scene and welcome our community to play like never before.”

Game Show Studio is inside the Red Door escape room, a small chain founded in 2015 with 20 locations including Southlake, Plano, and Fort Worth, which opened in 2018.

“Our mission is to create meaningful, memorable experiences—and this partnership delivers exactly that,” Red Door Experiences CEO Nicholas Madden says in a statement.
