Boil water advisory issued for parts of Ballston

BALLSTON — A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Ballston.

The advisory, issued by the Saratoga County Department of Health on Saturday, was caused by a water main break.

The areas impacted include Eastline Road and all subdivisions off of Eastline Road, Round Lake Road, Timber Creek, Benedict Road, MacKenna Court and Aysimac Court.

The health department is asking that residents either boil water or use bottled water for drinking or cooking, to ensure there are no “disease-causing organisms” in the water. All tap water should be boiled for at least one minute, then cooled prior to consumption, according to the advisory.

The department is also asking residents to conserve water.

All outside water usage, lawn and garden watering, sprinkler systems and vehicle washing is “strictly prohibited,” the department said.

“Please be sure to shut down all automatic sprinkler systems. This will ensure water is conserved for human consumption as well as in the event of an emergency,” the advisory reads.
